Managing Microsoft Teams Rooms with Intune – Microsoft Tech Community.Gettings started with Microsoft Teams Rooms (Part 3)

In previous article we had a look at how teams room devices intune manage the Logitech Peripherals from the the LogiSync Adobe indesign cc shortcuts free. In a small scale deployment installing them manually from handful of devices will be an easier approach.

However when we have more number of devices that needs this installation and if they are present in different locations sharing the local admin passwords to the local support might also be a bit risky approach. If the devices are Azure AD joined and Intune registered in this case we can benefit the remote installation of this client via Microsoft Intune Apps.

In this article we will run through the steps that we will be doing to install the LogiSync Agent from the Microsoft Intune. In our case we are choosing windows since we are attempting the automated agent installation via Microsoft Intune. Later once downloaded they can be placed to a folder location. Example like below. We do not need the instruction notepad file which can be deleted.

Now we need to prepare the intune win app. It can be downloaded from this teams room devices intune website. Installing the app is now quite easy.

I saw a small challenge in following the steps mentioned in the Logitech website. For me the easier method was to right click the intunewinapp. The source folder is the folder location where the Logisync provisioning exe files reside. Teams room devices intune the setup file is the file name that we need to give it exactly as it is present in the source folder.

Finally output folder is the folder that we need to provide where windows server 2012 vs free download intunewin file will be successfully created. After running the above command finally we see подробнее на этой странице. Also more importantly it creates installsync. This is the main cmd that starts the installation, sets the error state if it finds any and then exit the installation. Now we have created the required installation media now we need to create the Intune Apps Policy to target them to the required room systems.

Http://replace.me/6647.txt to Intune — select all apps — Add new app type and teams room devices intune Windows app win In the app description we can provide a name and description as per our requirement. Once after the file is successfully uploaded we receive a confirmation notification message like below. With Microsoft Intune we are able to install the Logisync App Deployment in an automated way without any hassle.

Apps can only be installed in the device посетить страницу источник if they are supported by the device and the Intune app type. Device context installations are supported on Windows 10 teams room devices intune and Teams devices, such as the Surface Hub. Like Like. And the device installation status is also showing successful. When logging into the system could see that the Logitech services are installed and running. Share this:. Unless you have a specific requirement, my recommendation is to avoid creating overly restrictive configuration policies for your MTRs. MTRs are essentially meeting room appliances, not a typical Windows 10 machine that an end user uses.

The end user has no access to anything outside the MTR app, including no access to removable storage, programs, a web browser or files stored on the MTR or in the cloud.

Typical use cases for configuration profiles include enabling Bitlocker to encrypt the local drive. Check for supported hardware here. Not recommended Some devices to have Wifi built in to them, but its always best to cable them into the network via Ethernet.

You may also wish to enable remote Powershell if you want to remotely run commands on the MTR — although generally speaking this isnt recommended as you can run PowerShell commands on the MTR from the Intune portal. You can check the compliance of the device with Microsoft Endpoint Manager by pushing a compliance policy. To get an insight if your active Microsoft Teams Rooms are still compliant, you can create a Compliance policy. Now we have created a Compliance policy and assigned it to the earlier created Azure AD group. Next up, the Device Enrollment Manager. After a few minutes, you will see in the MEM portal, that your device is compliant or not. And with this, we are at the end of this part.

Check if the computer name follows a standard. Using a resource account to register Teams Rooms devices is a manual process. On the device user interface, select More … and then select Settings. In the Settings menu, choose Windows Settings and you will be prompted to sign in with an Administrator account again. Save and exit Teams. From the Windows Start menu, open Settings , select Accounts , and then select Access work or school. On the Set up a work or school account dialog, under Alternate actions , select Join this device to Azure Active Directory. A screenshot showing the \”Microsoft account – Set up a work or school account\” pop-up, with \”Join this device to Azure Active Directory\” selected at the bottom.

Sign in with the resource account credentials. Keep in mind that the resource account is added to the local machine and uses Administrator credentials. However, in Azure AD the user does not have any rights. A screenshot of the \”Make sure this is your organization\” pop-up, showing \”User type: Administrator\” to confirm you are signed in with Administrator credentials. We used a user account for enrollment, so the device is mapped to the resource account, as we can see in the Primary user field.

An image of the device \”Overview\” page in the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center, showing the \”Primary user\” field. Typically, these types of devices are considered shared devices, so you should manually remove the primary user.

Select Properties, and then select Remove primary user and select Save at the top of the page. A benefit of using a DEM account over a resource account is that the DEM account can only enroll devices and will not have any rights to access mailboxes, calendars etc.

At this point, we have successfully enrolled Teams Rooms in Intune.

For our example, we select Provision desktop devices to create a new project, add a name, the project folder path, and an optional description, and then select Finish. An image of the New project page in Windows Configuration Designer, where you add a project name, browse for the project folder, and add a description.

In the package definition, you can specify some rules for the computer name. There are two areas selected: the \”Device name\” field and the \”Configure devices for shared use\” section, with the toggle set to \”No\”. Select Next. A screenshot of the \”Set up network\” page from the left menu in Windows Configuration Designer, with the \”Set up network\” toggle set to \”Off\”.

You can use a DEM account, or any other account that has rights to gather the bulk token. During the enrollment, a new account will be created. Note the token expiration date in the Bulk Token Expiry field and select Next. In Intune, we see the new, corresponding enrollment account that Windows Configuration Designer created. Note : The account that was used for the token request is not stored in the package. A cropped image of the package as a new profile in Intune the Endpoint Manager admin center.

For our example, we do not need to add any apps and there are no certificates, either. Select Next to continue to the Finish page, review the summary, and then select Create to generate the package.
