The year prior and current year do not have this problem, so I think bootstrapper is seeing something in the hardware configuration that it doesn\’t like. All PC\’s came with Office trial which was removed and volume purchase installed. Now I\’m upgrading to I have tried all of the recommendations I can find from Microsoft and anyone else, which include: 1 uninstalling all old versions of office 2 used fixit tool KB removes versions before 3 used fixit tool KB removes 4 clean boot 5 disabling anti-virus Kaspersky KES ver 10 6 regedit to remove AppCompatFlags 7 check services enabled – Task Scheduler, Office Software Protection Platform, RPC 8 regedit disable then re-enable Task Scheduler.
