For a long time it ran fine using the default HD audio drivers. However sometime last year, WIndows decided to install the Conexant audio drivers by default. Once this driver is installed, the laptop report that no speakers or headphones are plugged in. While using the standard HD audio drivers everything worked fine. No matter what solution found on the web I find, Windows will immediately install the conexant driver again.
