Original Question: I have a government document to complete, it is a protected Word Form. Snagit 11 wont open free I am unable to tick the boxes. I tried opening as both a. DOCX gratis microsoft office 2010 64 bit free and a. DOCM file. For some reason it allows you to check the boxes straight from the original email but once you save it and re-open it, it doesn\’t let you anymore. However it does work from someone else\’s computer.

I have tried enabling macros in security settings and messing around with compatibility view to no avail. Solved: If I open a blank document in Word and then open the document from File – Open, the form works correctly. Why, I don\’t know Thank you Gurus! This thread is locked. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn\’t help. The document could be opening in Protected view or in Design mode, both of which may prevent the form from working properly. Save the document to your hard drive. Right-click the icon for the file and then snagit 11 wont open free Properties; in the Properties window, click Unblock followed by Apply. After that, you can open the document without Word forcing Protected view.

If it still doesn\’t work, depending on the type of protection applied to the document, see if Design mode has been enabled. Turn it off on the Developer tab on the ribbon.

Also, the design mode symbol in the developer tab is greyed out I\’m sure it\’s just something really obvious argh! If it has background shading rather than being greyed out, it may indicate that Design Mode has been activated. Suzanne S. Barnhill MVP. Your screen shot shows that you have Wordnot Word as indicated. Since there are no check box content controls in Wordlegacy form fields would have to have been used and the document protected, as shown the protection would disable the Ribbon.

Since you have indicated that the document requires a password to unprotect, you\’ll need to use the method Stefan described. This site in other languages x.

Great, simple instructions. WinZip Spam popups every few hours blocking my work view. Had enough, and found the removal blog, it worked. Three of those nasty demons were set to annoy preset times each day. A curse upon Winzip for abusing for years paying customers for Pro Version. This helped a lot! Knowledge is power! I very much dislike the business practice of popup advertising when you have a paid subscription. Excellent article.

This is beyond frustrating! Same problem. And I totally agree with your opening sentence. This is the type of selling you expect from late night TV ads on b-rated channels, not software you paid for. That one has to find and implement these solutions is an outrage.

Where do I go for that? Also get popups for Dell Backup and Recovery Basic. How do I get rid of those? Win zip is not on the Task scheduler library.
